About Rainbow Yoga

Rainbow Yoga are short (30-40 minute) sessions aimed specifically at children aged 3-11. They are designed to be fun and engaging whilst developing calming strategies for children to draw on in their day to day life. A typical Rainbow Yoga session includes games, opportunity to learn and practise yoga poses and time to practise relaxation and mindfulness. Each session therefore provides the opportunity for children to improve their physical, mental and emotional fitness, in line with the PE curriculum and the PSHE curriculum. Sessions can also be tailored to link to specific areas of the curriculum, enhancing and revisiting learning in order for children to 'know more' and 'remember more'. In addition, sessions can be linked to celebratory days, such as World Book Day, Mental Health week, Children in Need, Comic Relief etc.
